ENVIRONMENTAL
DATA FUSION MINE COUNTERMEASURES (EDFMCM) TOOLS
Wagner’s
Environmental Data Fusion Mine Countermeasures (EDFMCM) Tools
are designed to support littoral operations and meet tactical
environmental data fusion challenges. These tools access
environmental data varying in both space and time that is contained
in distributed and distinct databases. They then fuse/present this
data in a form readily used by an operator or by other applications
or systems. The EDFMCM consists of the following four tools:
1.
Information Collection Tool
– accesses data from multiple, remote sources in near-real-time
across LANs and/or WANs using sophisticated techniques to minimize
bandwidth and deal with the possible loss of connectivity.
2.
Polygon Combination Tool
– resolves conflicts in environmental data by identifying regions of
agreement and/or disagreement and selecting the “Best” data for
current needs and also merges data between environmental data
layers.
3.
Measurement Fusion and Optimization
Tool
– assimilates new measurements utilizing powerful and accurate
statistical techniques and generates optimal plans for obtaining
additional geospatial data.
4.
Data Analysis Tool
– relates geospatial data to operational needs.
DATA
MINING TOOLS
Wagner’s
Data Mining Tools provide extensive and highly automated data
mining Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD) capabilities.
Their key feature is the
ability to automatically determine the sensitivity of operational
effectiveness (results/events) to any
relevant
factors, especially environmental factors.
Even perfect knowledge of the
environment or other important factors is only useful if we know how
sensitive mission success/operational results are to these factors.

ASSESSMENT SYSTEM
Wagner's
Automated
Trace Quality Assessment System (ATQA) provides confidence scores
for DNA sequence base calls. ATQA is now available for most major
computers and operating systems.
