In developing CASP (1972), Wagner Associates established itself as the premier search planning  firm, successfully supporting the US Coast Guard’s search and rescue (SAR) efforts.  According to the USCG, which used CASP operationally from 1974 through the late 1980s, CASP “made a crucial difference in saving numerous lives through successful rescues” over the years.
