CATS is a powerful basecalling software tool developed by Daniel
H. Wagner Associates. CATS can read several chromatogram formats,
work with raw or processed trace data, and determine basecalls
and basecall locations. The tool is currently available on the
Macintosh PowerPC platform.
The CATS algorithms were developed and tuned for optimal performance
using capillary array electrophoretic traces from thousands of
chromatograms from several sequencing labs. While specifically
designed for CAE technology, CATS can be readily adapted to any
sequencing technology that is based on electrophoretically derived
fluorescent traces. Wagner Associates has the expertise on staff
to adjust the software to meet your specific sequencing needs.
