One of our most important clients has been the Department of Defense,
particularly the Navy. Early in its history, Daniel H. Wagner Associates was most heavily
involved with the Navy's TAC D&E program. We supplied more than 75
man-years of support to virtually every Navy command involved in tactics
development or evaluation. In particular, members of our firm contributed to ASW tactics development for SSNs, P-3s, S-3s, as well as Battle Force and
Battle Group integrated operations. Members of the firm have been senior
advisors to many high-level study groups such as the Submarine Alternative
Study and the ASW Test Bed.
Involvement with tactic development evolved into participation with study
groups to help define force level requirements and the procurement
decision-making process. Much of our analysis has involved applying the firm's
expertise in search theory.
Wagner Associates remains committed to supporting the Navy and other
Defense agencies.
