METOC Chat

No matter how smart we make Metplan and the MPM, there will always be a desire for mission planners to talk directly with METOC officers. To that end, we have created a METOC Chat screen. This screen would offer the mission planner the opportunity to communicate directly with the METOC community (or anyone else on the network) to receive ad hoc forecasts, discuss forecast validity, and request model runs. This screen is currently inoperative, and may be replaced with COTS software.
